Nice to have you here. Thank you for your interest.
Hello, I’m René Schmitz and I am responsible for the divison power conversion at INP Schweiz. My focus lies on power electronics in energy generation, industry and the transport sector – in particular on frequency converters, excitation systems and converter technology for large synchronous machines. For around 18 years I have been supporting projects in power plants, grid stabilisation systems and industrial applications at INP Schweiz.
I am fascinated by how electrical engineering, precise control and practical implementation interact, which is why this field continues to inspire me. From commissioning to control system upgrades, I have accompanied and optimised plants worldwide. This combination of hands-on work, system understanding and team collaboration still continues to shape my role today.
At INP Schweiz, experienced experts work together, share their knowledge, support each other and develop solutions as a team. Even though we are often on site with our customers, the INP team remains a strong and reliable anchor. We create space for responsibility, flexibility and personal development t – with benefits that match modern working and living models. We bring engineering expertise and genuine team spirit to the places where energy for the future is shaped.
