Biogen was founded in 1978 in Geneva. Today, Biogen is one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies. In order to meet the growing global
demand for high-quality medicines, Biogen had to expand its production capacity. Therefore, Biogen built a state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical production plant on the Attisholz site in Luterbach near Solothurn. In addition to the large scale production facilities, the Luterbach plant also includes laboratories, offices, supply buildings, and a warehouse.
